Yes, it’s true, the time has come to begin planning for the Annual Festival!! We are currently in need of bright and shiny volunteers to join the Festival Committee and begin PLANNING for what is sure to be another fabulous two day event!! This is such a fun way to get to know your fellow parishioners!!! Remember: Many hands make light work! The meetings will be held on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Media Room (SEAS school) near the picnic tables. To prepare for this transition beginning on September 20th our office will open 8:00am – 2:00pm Monday – Friday, closed on the weekend of Sept. 25th & 26th and for the week of September 27th – October 1st 8:00am – 2:00pm Monday - Friday, closed the weekend of October 2nd & 3rd. Calling out all Catholic Boy Scouts wishing to earn the Ad Altare Dei Religious Award. This award is intended for Scouts ages 13 and over. The Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Diocese of Sacramento will be holding a retreat at the Marello Youth Retreat Center on October 15-17, 2010. THIS EVENT SOLD OUT LAST YEAR, SO REGISTER EARLY! Do you have questions about Kinderchurch?  Do you want to register your child(ren) in Kinderchurch?  Are you interested in joining our fabulous VOLUNTEER group of Teachers and Assistant Teachers?  Then come visit the Kinderchurch Registration Table in the Parish Hall during the GSCC Ministry Fair on the weekend of August 28 & 29 after all masses.  Kinderchurch Coordinators, Teachers, and Assistant Teachers will be available to answer your questions and help you register your child(ren).

Please Note:  Pages 1, 2, and 3 of the Registration packet must be completely filled out before submitting with payment.  Page 3 requires a parent or guardian signature stating that they have read the Ministry Guidelines.  Page 4 is a copy of the Ministry Guidelines for the parent or guardian to keep.  Page 5 is only to be completed if your are registering more than 2 children in Kinderchurch.

Would you like to meet other parents of nursery, preschool, and Kindergarten age children here at Good Shepherd?  Join our fun and inviting ministry!  Kinderchurch is a ministry of parent volunteers dedicated to the faith formation of our youngest parishioners and we are looking for parents who can volunteer as Teachers and Assistant Teachers on a scheduled rotation in the classroom, approximately every 4-6 weeks.  NO experience is necessary – just a desire to share God’s Word with our children!  The Kinderchurch Leadership Team provides training and support and all curriculum materials.
